| Q. What is the concept behind "DC English School"? |

| A. DC English was created by teachers and students to provide effective and affordable language classes to a wide range of students. Our mission is to help people around the world experience personal and professional growth through international and cultural exchange. Our school concept was inspired by the international community living and working in Washington D.C. Therefore, our school is named DC English School. |
| Q. What is the difference from other English schools? |

| A. DC English is a unique due to its combination between of a community focus and a global reach. Each of our schools was started and is operated by local residences. Most of the students, teachers and staff live in the area and are active members of the community. On the other hand, DC English has locations and partners around the world including Washington, DC, Los Angeles and Vancouver. This global network gives us the vision, purpose and resources to provide our students and staff opportunties to work, study and live in international environments. |
| Q. What kind of people take classes at DC English? |

| A. We have a variety of students attaining our classes from company workers and managers, retired and seniors, junio-high school students and house-wives. Our student's English levels range from beginners to advanced speakers aim to achieve fluent communication in business, academic and social situations. |
| Q. Is it possible to take free trial classes? |

| A. Yes! At DC English we provide free trial classes for up to 2 days. Try different teachers and classes and find the right match for you. |

| Q. Do I have to take the same classes every week? |

| A. At DC English, students have the flexibility to choose any class from the schedule within their English level according to their preference and schedule. Therefore, there is no need to take the same classes. Please try taking different classes, and find the right class for you. |
| Q. What does level "ALL" mean? |
|---|
| A. DC English provides classes for four levels. B (Beginner) I (Intermediate) U (Upper Intermediate) A (Advanced) The level "ALL" is a class which students at all four levels can take. As part of the collaboration study, at DC English we believe studying through the cooperation with people at different levels can be very effective in improving English. |
| Q. I am a beginner in English, and afraid that I won't be able to keep up with the class. |

| A. Under the system of "Collaboration Study" which is a studying style which students support each other, you will be able to support and be supported within the class. We also have bilingal Japanese teachers and staff to offer assistance, so you can take classes with no worries. |
| Q. I am thinking of studying abroad, but is there a support for that? |

| A. For students who wish to prepare for the application to study abroad or for an intership or job at international companies ( Research on the hosting companies, contacting the company, preparing for an English interview, fillin in the application), we offer a custom lesson. | Q. What kind of teachers are here in DCES? |

| A. Teachers at DC English have experience in teaching English to students in various levels at plaves all over the world. They have played active rolls in different fields and different countries like America, Canada, Japan, Australia and England. |
| Q. What kind of material do you use in the classes? |
|---|
| A. We prepare a variety of studying material such as the text books for ESL (English as a Second Language), classes and materials native speakers use to learn English. Furthermore, to learn real life English, we use TV programmes, radio, novels, magazines, newspaper articles as our teaching material. On the other hand, in custom classes students can choose or bring in the material to study themselves. |

| A. Sorry, currently there are no classes that can be applied at this time. |
| Q. Please tell me about the lesson fee. |

| A. Compared to other school's lesson fees, our school sets the price low. For more information, please look at the lesson fee page. |
| Q. How do I pay the lesson fee? |
|---|
| A. The standard system of payment is automatic withdrawal from bank accout. However, we also accept bank transfer payment and cash payment. |
| Q. Is there any discount for the lesson fee? |
|---|
A. The more lessons you take, the discount rate will increase. (Please check the lesson fee information page.)

| Q. If it gets difficult to continue, will I be able to quit anytime? |
|---|
| A. Yes, it is possible to quit on a monthly basis. DC English has a reliable system of monthly deferred payment system (if it is automatic withdrawal system), so if you apply for a leave by the last class day of the previous month, you will be able to quit. However, the coupons will also lose their validity at that moment. Please be aware. We may recommend to take a break, instead of a leave. You will be able to take a break for up to 2 months. In that case, there won't be any need to pay the adminission fee again, and the coupons will still be valid. |
